Hot Summer Days

The July 4th weekend was spent at the ranch. It was 100+ degrees but so fun. We took a drive to the Oasis and were lucky enough to see about 100 donkeys and some cows. Before this trip, we ordered an umbrella that locks into the tow hitch of the side by side. It provided much needed shade during the crazy hot rides we went on.

The skies were clear so we gathered the chairs for some night sky viewing. I am still working  on getting a camera to take pictures of the stars and milky way. Hopefully, I can share the amazing stars I get to see soon.

Best I can do without the new camera :)

We took the side by sides over the mountains to the Gold Digger Saloon near Rye Patch reservoir. Long, hot, 40-50 mile ride, but beautiful and a cold beer was our reward. So far we have found 3 separate trails that will take us to the reservoir. All are between 45-50 miles and gorgeous. We've seen antelope, donkey, cow and a ton of birds on each ride.

That's it for today. More to come.
